1/2 Way to Happy Birthday!

Once again I can't believe its already the 28th of the month and this one is even more unbelievable because she is 6 month old!!!!!! I mean if the next 6 months go by as fast as the last 6 months she will be a year old like......SOON! I do have to say though that this age is so much fun. She is learning and doing new things daily and once she gets it she doesnt stop...like rolling! Once she learns how to get those arms and legs working at the same time she will be crawling which I don't think is too far off! She is still such a happy baby and loves to smile and laugh! We definitely got lucky with this one ;)

First Christmas present!

With Christmas only 38 more days away I DO need to start thinking and making some lists! For years I have always had my tree up and home decorated WAY before now but for some reason I am just putting it off this year. I think it is because I look at my living room and see 4 pretty big baby items that have taken over and think "Now....where am I going to put that tree since the exersaucer, jumper and swing are in the way?" This weekend it will happen though!!!!

Back to my title though, I have been thinking hard about what we are going to get Jacie. I don't want to go overboard because I will leave that to our familes ;) But I do want to get her some things we REALLY do need and now that is she becoming less of a little baby and more of a big girl we are needing some older baby things. So this weekend while hanging out on FB I came across a post about 2 coupon codes I could use to get a convertible car seat. So with 45% off a 300 dollar car seat I said why not and got it for her. It came in the mail today!!! For now she can still fit into the infant seat but I gotta tell ya it is not easy to carry her around in it anymore. I am guessing we will start to put it to use in the new year. So there ya have it. Her first christmas present is a car seat!! and yes, I will wrap it and put it under the tree for her ;)

In other news, I only have 2 more days until I get a week off! I can't tell ya how excited I am. I havent spend a whole need with Jacie since the beginning of August! Also we have her 6 month appt on Monday. It is about a week early but I wanted to get in during my break so I didnt have to take a day off. I can't wait to find out how much she has grown!

I can't believe I have such a big baby now!

5 Month old...a week ago

Here is baby J latest doings =) Honestly she is doing new things almost daily at this point and its hard to keep up!

- Finishing off size 1 and moving onto size 2 diapers

-Wearing 3-6 month clothing

-Eats 5oz evevery 3/4 hours during the day, 6-8oz at night

-Is eating cereal every night

-Has eaten bananas, sweet potatoes, green beans, carrots and peas and has liked every oen of them, especially carrots!

-Has started REALLY belly laughing and can squeal SUPER loud

- Has really found her voice and is making all sorts of new sounds

-Has started to become independent

-Can get bored and will let you know it

-Everything she can grab is now going into her mouth

- Loving her toys now! I believe Sophie the giraffe is her favorite

-Will not nap in her crib but we are working on it

-Grabs for her bottle and brings it to her mouth, also get really excited when I hold it for her

grab. Still hasn't figured how to hold it in her mouth though

- Goes to bed between 7-7:30 and sleeps until 6:30-7:30

-When I wake up on weekends she is usually just playing in her crib. She will be taking ot herself, grabbing her feet/legs or practicing rolling.

- She is the happiest morning baby!

-Enjoys being on her tummy now.

- Has more interest in learning how to stand than learning how to sit

-Loves blowing raspberries and will copy when you do it

-She has become very active this last month and doesn't like to stay still very long!

I seriously can not wait until her 6 month pictures later this month.
