-In her 8th month she also got to experience her 1st real snow and got her 1st fever!

This last month has been the month that she has changed the most...thus far!

Too bad I put a bow on her yesterday just to see and she ripped that thing RIGHT off her head so who knows if she will be sportin' those big ole' bows anymore. She does have enough hair to use little clips so thats a plus =)

a mommy/baby moment to remember

I just have to share this...

Tonight as I was putting J to bed we were rocking in her rocker like usual while she drank her bottle. After a few ounces she knocked it out of her mouth and sat straight up. Of course my first thought was...great...she is going to be all wiggly, try to escape and not go to bed. Well, instead she just cuddled herself up against me and looked up at me. We rocked back and forth as I rubbed her back and talked quietly to her while she continued to look at me and smile. It was amazing! After a few minutes she began to close her eyes so I HAD to lay her down although I would have loved to stay that way for longer. I just love that little girl.

February 22!

Today J had her what was suppose to weekly head specialist appointment turned into her 2 week appointment. We were suppose to go last Tuesday but it was cancelled (because of the ice) and rescheduled for Friday which was then cancelled again (because of the snow). They said everything looked great and did her very last adjustment. Every week they have shaved more and more off the back of the band to help her head grow back into the open space. Well, now there is only plastic in the back...goodbye foam! She has only 2 more weeks to go and then she will be a graduate. She will get another set of pictures to compare for a 3rd time and the 3D image scan done to compare from what her head was shaped like before we started the process. I am very excited to be done with this. Although I am very glad we did it I just want my babies head back!!

I guess its only fair for Ben to hear her say it first considering I heard her to dada first. Tonight after her bath I hear Ben yell for me. I run in her room thinking something was seriously wrong!! and he tells me "She said MAMA!!" Of course I was glad to hear that because I thought my poor heart was about to pop out of my chest.

Not 1 snow day but 4!!!

What a crazy week it was last week!! Worked on Monday and was off the rest of the week because of freezing temps and ICE and then on Friday we had a real SNOW DAY!! I do love watching it fall and pile up and cover everything.

Mobile baby

For weeks and weeks her mode of traveling has been rolling/ scooting. Going forward was another issue. She couldn't figure out how to do it and would get mad and flop around on her belly and "swim". Within a few days she has gone from pulling herself forward 1 time to doing it NONSTOP!! As I write this she is army crawling her way towards me from her play mat on the other side of the living room. There is no stopping her now!!! Next on our To Do List is getting all these cords off the ground because they are baby magnets... so we've learned.

Couldn't help myself

Yes yes I know it is like a ice rink outside but who could refuse these cute Spring/Summer items?? It is silly that I am excited for Jacie to start wearing shoes?? She has been in only socks for so long! I also know she will look adorable sportin' those sunglasses around this Summer. Being stuck at home for the last 2 days has meant more time to online shop =)

It's official

J has officially been "out" in the world longer than she was "in" =) 35 weeks 4 days ago we were enjoying the first morning with our teeny 5lb girl!! Ohhhhh how fast these 8 months have gone by compared to 8 months of pregnancy!!! CRAZINESS!
