My cookie

Jacie told our dog "No, my cookie Sophie" This was the 1st time I have heard her put 4 words together! She still amazes me everyday at what she has learned and what she knows =)

Mama is no artist...

Here is a conversation that took place during bath time tonight:
(Jacie hands me a bath crayon)
Jacie: baby?
Me:Do you want me to draw you a baby?
Jacie: yes
(I draw her a baby on the side of the tub)
Jacie: NO baby (while pointing to it).
Me: Does it not look like a baby?"
Jacie: NO!
Jacie: Dada baby!"
Me: You want dada to come draw you a baby?
Jacie: yes
Me: Dada, Jacie wants you to draw her a baby, she doesn't think my baby looks like a baby
(dada comes in and draws her a baby)
Jacie: YAY! BABY!

hmmmmmm.....

So polite

This girl is so polite and has always been as soon she learned how to sign please and thank you. When asked to say them she would always sign it without any hesitation. These past few weeks she has learned to now say please and thank you. Just like before when asked to say please she does "pllllllllllllllease" while rubbing her chest (the sign)... now thank you is another story. Although it is completely adorable she is saying thank you for everything. Of course every time you hand her something she replies "thank you" but also when she grabs or takes something from us she runs off and says "thank you" too! These are things she did not ask to have, they are things she just rips out of our hands!

I just reply, "you did not ask, but thank you for saying thank you" =)

Valentines Day

Although we only spent about 2 hours with Jacie on Valentines day and the rest at work, I would say it was a good one! At school of course the kids were wild but they were sweet and we had a great party. When we got home we spent some time outside, ate dinner, had a lip sucker, played with her Valentine Day bear and went to bed.

Lip/Mustache suckers for my kinder kids! I wish I could post the picture I took of all of them today with their suckers. They look adorable!

Jacie with her upside down lip sucker

Jacie dancing with her Justin Bieber bear. This morning she was scared of him when she first saw him. Tonight she wouldn't stop pushing his foot to make him sing before bed time.

Great find!

I gotta share my awesome find yesterday. First off let me start by saying I am fan of child consignment shops... I LOVE THEM! Who wouldn't be when your kid MAYBE gets a good 6-8 months of clothes before you have to go buy a whole new wardrobe either for season or growing reasons. You can find awesome things in there! We have 2 pretty close to us and I occasionally go to browse. I have been searching for Spring/Summer clothes this past month. I went to a store yesterday and found some cute tops that were 50% off of the original $3!!! Love it! I decided to make my way to the toys... since you know my child doesn't have enough already. At first I didn't notice anything great. I kept going down the aisle and then I spotted it! DANCE STAR MICKEY!! He was $6.99! I googled him real quick just to make sure it was really him and saw good reviews on Amazon where he also still cost $60. I decided she must have him... She is loving her Rock n Roll Elmo and Dancing Baby so I knew he would fit in =) I brought him up and asked the girls if we can unwrap him and get him to work before I bought him. Sure enough he did after a few battery switcheroos.

I gotta say he is pretty cool. He does a lot and is actually more interactive than both Elmo and baby. He does "walk" while he dances and Jacie isn't a fan of things that move like that, but she does clap for him when he is done dancing. She will warm up I am sure!

Snow!

Well it wasn't much of a snow but it might be the only one we see this Winter... considering it will be in the 70's this week I am pretty positive of that!! Last night right after I got Jacie in her pj's we saw the snow! She ran to the backdoor and I turned on the light so we could see it better! She enjoyed watching it fall. I so badly want to get pictures of her playing in inches of snow.... maybe next year! For now, this will do =)

No snow days mean 2 -4 day weekends in the Spring! I think I could deal with that!!

Potty

Jacie is not ready to potty train and neither are we, but I have read let them "practice" for a while before they truly start. I told myself I wasn't going to buy a potty until Jacie started showing readiness signs. This weekend she did just that!

Yesterday when we were about to leave I told her "Lets go change your diaper" I felt it and it was dry so I said "nevermind, you are good" and I started to walk away. She then started saying "uh uh mama pee" and was patting her diaper. I then felt her diaper and sure enough it was warm! I am so impressed! She did this out of nowhere!

Then today I was in the laundry room and heard her whining. When I went to see where she was and what she was doing she was standing with her legs apart and scrunched down and patting her diaper saying "poo poo". She had indeed gone # 2 in her diaper!!

Yesterday as soon as I got the potty out of the box she took a seat in the middle of the living room fully clothed! I got it all put together and we moved it into the bathroom, I got her diaper off and she sat right down and started pushing =) I had no idea she would know to do that!! Of course nothing came out and nothing has yet to come out when we have tried but she has completely impressed me already!!! I honestly do not plan on really potty training her until this summer when I can be home with her full time, but there is no harm in trying until then!!

I remember seeing this potty awhile ago way before I was even pregnant and thinking it was just the cutest thing ever! The potty sings when it detects you have gone to the bathroom and it has a "flusher" and a toilet paper holder (that is pushed in now) I just love that it looks like a miniature toilet!
